One by one, Mindi Cool’s friends have gone viral on social media and Mindi’s starting to feel left out.  But when Adam Kovac, her high school crush comes back to town and posts the freckled, brace-face picture that he’d published years ago in their high school yearbook, to promote Haunted Hermosa, she finds herself getting more attention than she bargained for.

Adam is back home in Hermosa Beach for a new job, and volunteers to work on Haunted Hermosa with Mindi. No longer the pesky younger cousin of his best friend, Mindi has grown into an intelligent, attractive young woman…the only bad thing? Everything he does seems to scare her away.
